Arc’teryx was named after ARCHAEOPTERYX LITHOGRAPHICA the first reptile to develop the feather for flight, for freeing itself from the constraints of the horizontal world, and was founded in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1991.

Since then, Arc’teryx’s aim has been to build the finest products possible with high-quality materials such as Gore-Tex for wind proofing and waterproofing, Merino Wool for temperature regulation and comfort, and Coreloft for insulation in cold weather and durability.
